Ronald Ray gun

There has been a lot of press about Ronnie lately (I'm not talking about the infamous Ron Ron Nelson) and it's timely concerning his death. Appearantly, his presidency was a big deal. There is talks of (more like wishful wispers) Ronnie's face appearing on the 20 dollar bill, Mount Rushmore, and other things. Bill Frist of TN is even pushing that the Pentagon should be renamed after Reagan.

Being born in Ronnie's first term, I don't know much about his administration as president. So my mind begins to wonder and think "Why?" Why all of this hype? What exactly did Ronnie do that was so great? There are things that I know and suspect what I am asking for, is what I don't know.

Briefly, here is what I know. I have always heard Ronnie ended the Cold War. That in itself would be a great, great thing. He accomplished this feat by doing one thing: he spent and borrowed huge amounts of money. In doing this, he crushed the Soviet Union leaving them helpless. I also know that he did not think much about mental, social, or emotional diseases. He closed down most of our nation's mental health facilities, and even crippled our Moccasin Bend that is still hurting to this day. In doing this, Ronnie forced many people with mental illnesses to the streets, drastically increasing our nation's homeless problem. (Still even today about half of all people that are homeless are mentally ill.) And finally, I know that Ronnie used, without permission, Bruce Springstein's Born in the USA as his offical campaign song.

What I don't know, I hope you know.

Temporary new title

Due to virtually no intrest in suggesting a new name for this phenomenlogical analysis on being a recent college graduate, I have decided to indefinitely change the title to the only one suggested, "Chris Willis Rulez!!!"

No, it will not forever continue to be this. This to help come up with a new, more fitting title.

One of the saddest things that I have ever heard of...kind of.

I know that this was an old event, about a month ago, but only Chris Willis knows about that; and besides, its a new idea I had.

A while back ago, I was walking around downtown running some errands when I noticed Chris in his truck with Jackson's baby-seat right next to him. He pulled over and we decided to go and have lunch. To the point, this was the first time in a while that I had seen and talked to Chris. As I was leaving his truck to continue my errands, he said to me, "Hey, it was really nice to catch up."

That was it. There is no excuse whatsoever for us to "catch up." He works a fourth of a block from my apartment. I think that I was on of the first 5 people to hear about him becoming a father (including he and his wife). It was him and his father that God used to bring me here to Chattanooga.

I think having to "catch up" is one of the worst things to do; however neccessary at times. Whenever I see friends from Henderson, Manchester, Knoxville, and God provide, Brazil and India, we will most certainly have to catch up.

Recently, I have finally decided what I really wanted in life; along with why graduating from college is going to make this even harder. What I want is this. To have all of my friends in one town at the same time. That's it. No catching up. No until next time. "Heaven," I latter thought.

Knowing that my life expectation would never come true, I have started a new goal, to avoid catching up as much as possible. But, I cannot do this on my own. If you know me, email me, or post a comment. I beg to to think about this concerning your other friends. Always keep in touch and most importantly hang out.
